How to erase the information saved in a field for several contacts

Here's how to erase the information saved in a field for multiple contacts simultaneously:

  1. Prepare the list of email addresses containing information you’d like to erase in an Excel or CSV file.

If these are all contacts in a group or all of the subscribers in your account, you can export them and use this file. Learn how >

  2. In your file, insert the following variable in the column beside each email address: __EMPTY__

  3. Then go to your account to import the file. Link the column where you inserted the variable __EMPTY__ with the field to be removed. Remember to answer Yes to the question about updating existing contacts. Learn how to import a contact list >

  4. Check the import report to ensure that you don’t have any invalid lines, then go to your contacts to double check the results.
