In the contact details section you’ll find regular fields, consent fields and custom fields.
The only mandatory field is the email address.
Use the different fields available to complete your subscriber’s profile. The information you enter may come from different sources: subscription forms, importing data through a CSV or Excel file, entering data manually, linking your CRM with your account through our API.
By drawing data from different places and then centralizing all the information at your disposal in your account, you will be able to build a complete picture of your subscribers and stimulate their engagement through various email campaigns. You can use the data collected to effectively segment your contact lists, with the help of advanced search and dynamic groups. Then, you'll be able to send customized, better-targeted emails. You can even add the information entered by your contacts in the content of your emails to tailor them to each subscriber.
Regular fields
Regular fields have a defined use and are designed to enter basic information about your contacts.
Here is the list of regular fields:
- Last name
- First name
- Language
- Gender
- Company
- Date of Birth
- Postal code
- Country
- Note (to add more details)
Consent fields
Consent fields are intended to store all of your contacts’ consent data to help you comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Law (CASL). Take full advantage of our system’s features to simplify the management of consents by entering the following information:
- Source of consent (how you obtained consent from your contact, e.g. active customer)
- Date of consent (e.g. date of the most recent purchase)
- Proof of consent (e.g . invoice number)
- Type of consent (express or implied, information that is automatically completed by our system depending on the source of consent chosen)
By entering this data, you will be able to, among other things, track the expiration date of all implied consents through our monthly consent report, and set up scenarios to automate your efforts to obtain express consent from your contacts.

In addition to using regular fields, you have the option to enter more information that could be useful for contact segmentation and email customization.
There are four types of custom fields:
